UCS Desktop Virtualization Services (UCS DVS) is based on the tried-and-tested and cost-effective Open Source infrastructure solution UCS. In addition to the functions for the operation and provision of virtualized desktops, the integration in the administration tools of UCS also provides UCS DVS with a number of user-friendly administration functions.
- Server-side management of the virtualized desktops and their image templates via the UCS Virtual Machine Manager (UVMM) administration service integrated in the UCS management system
- Central user assignment of the virtualized desktops via the integration in the directory served-based (OpenLDAP-based) UCS management system
