Univention Corporate Server (UCS) for X86-based systems (Intel- and AMD-based server and desktop systems) offers extensive support for server and desktop hardware. UCS is available in 32-bit and 64-bit versions.
Installation requirements for UCS are:
X86-compatible processor (also including AMD64 and Intel EMT64 systems), e.g., Opteron or Xeon server processors
Up to 64 GB RAM (a minimum of 256 MB is recommended for server systems)
Compatible storage controller (IDE, SATA, SCSI or SAN controller)
Compatible network interface
Bootable CD/DVD drive or PXE network card for installation
Compatible graphics card for desktop systems

Univention Corporate Server uses the Linux kernel and thus imparts drivers for the majority of conventional hardware components.
General information concerning the operation of hardware components not listed on this site with Linux can be found by researching on the Internet. For example, the kernel version given in these sources can be used for comparisons in order to see if the use of UCS is possible. Possible sources are:
